BI0N Shares Six Years of Training Program Success at ExpLearn Symposium in Villefontaine

Villefontaine, France – March 28, 2025 – BI0N actively participated in the ExpLearn Symposium held in Villefontaine this week, showcasing their impactful six-year training program. The symposium, a gathering of educational institutions, businesses, and community organisations focused on innovative learning and development practices, provided BI0N with a valuable platform to share their experiences and connect with like-minded peers.

BI0N presented a detailed poster outlining the structure, key achievements, and impact of their training program, which has been running successfully for the past six years. The poster highlighted the program's focus on different building technologies, relevant skill acquisition and the possibility to apply hands-on approaches for locally rooted placemaking processes. The poster provided visitors with QR-codes to further endeavour BI0N’s activities, design-and-build initiatives, conferences and publications among them.

The BI0N team, comprised of Alessio Battistella and Stefan Pollak, engaged with numerous attendees, sharing insights into the challenges and successes of implementing their long-term training initiative. They emphasized the importance of partnership with all stakeholders to make experiential learning reach local communities and achieve lasting results in the places that host the training events.

"The ExpLearn Symposium has been a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with other organisations passionate about learning and development," commented Alessio Battistella, BI0N-representative for Northern Italy and Professor at DAStU Politecnico of Milan.

"We were delighted to share our experiences with our six-year training program and learn from the innovative approaches being implemented by others. It's inspiring to see the collective commitment to empowering individuals through education and training."

The symposium provided a valuable space for BI0N to network, exchange best practices, and potentially forge new collaborations with other organizations working in the field of education and training. Attendees at the symposium expressed keen interest in BI0N's long-term approach and the tangible results demonstrated by their program. The poster presentation sparked engaging conversations about sustainability, impact measurement, and adapting training programs to meet evolving needs.

BI0N's successful participation at the ExpLearn Symposium highlights the dedication and impact of local initiatives in fostering learning and development within the Villefontaine region. The organization looks forward to applying the insights gained from the symposium to further enhance their training program and continue making a positive difference in the lives of individuals in their community.
